Checklist for Selling Your Artwork at an Art Fair or Flea Market

I panicked the last time I did a flea market because I couldn’t find the checklist I made. I was terrified that I was going to forget something important. By writing my checklist as a blog post I will never lose it again AND you can use it to help get organised when you go to sell your own work at flea or fair.

  • Garden table and chair
  • comfy cushion
  • charge up your payment machine
  • pack your payment machine
  • table cloth. Cover up that table.
  • little framed ‘About Me’ info
  • business cards
  • email sign up sheet
  • Cash float
  • snacks
  • water
  • coffee (should be at the top of the list. These are early starts)
  • hand sanitizer
  • paracetamol and band aids/ plasters
  • tissues
  • sunglasses, sunscreen or hat and gloves if it’s cold
  • pen and pencil case and sketchbook (for sketching or taking notes if it’s dead quiet)
  • notebook to keep a record of sales. You will sell something!
  • scissors
  • masking tape or other tape
  • blue tac for windy days
  • hammer and nails or picture hooks and picture wire
  • String
  • decorations. Like feathers, fairy lights and pine cones.
  • charged up iphone
  • wooden print rack browser
  • Greeting cards display rack
  • Pricing List
  • storage boxes. I use a little blue box for my greeting cards and a picnic basket for unmounted prints
  • paper bags
  • My artwork! Priced up. Prints mounted and unmounted, greeting cards and lucky dip bags
  • my glasses, keys and wallet

Hope that helps you. Let me know if you think I have forgotten something. All the best to you!
